This calculator helps you work out what size of mortgage you might be able to borrow, based on your income. Sometimes taking out a joint mortgage can increase the amount you can borrow. The calculator will provide you with an approximation of how much you might be able to borrow. In reality amounts will vary from lender to lender, based on their exact criteria, and will also depend on things like your monthly credit commitments and outgoings.
Once you have completed the calculation below we would recommend that you follow stage 2 of the Decision in Principle journey which will enable you to ascertain what a mortgage might cost you on a monthly basis, amongst other things.
